Boulder Creek in Boulder City, Nevada
The Southwest's newest premier golf course, the 27-hole Boulder Creek Golf Club, opened in January of 2003. Mark Rathert designed the course, and it's three-look concept offers a variety hard to find anywhere in the Las Vegas Valley. Oasis-themed holes feature palm trees, beach bunkers, lakes and waterfalls. Arroyos are artfully woven into the fabric of the course. Desert holes are bordered by the area's unique playable sand.
The wide variety of golf courses in
Las Vegas, such as
Boulder Creek, range from those that take advantage
of the region's desert terrain to others that have been engineered
to look nothing like "desert golf". Like many things
in Las Vegas, sometimes it's about spectacle and sometimes it's
about substance. But there's no doubt that Las Vegas has some very
substantive golf courses. |
